This seminar provided an opportunity to discuss key implementation issues following the move of public health responsibility to local authorities, and the authorisation of Public Health England (PHE) and Health and Wellbeing Boards (HWBs).
Sessions focused on the challenges and opportunities PHE face in protecting and improving the nation's health and wellbeing, the role HWBs play in integrating care services, the commissioning and provision of public health services, and how effectively PHE and HWBs are working alongside other bodies such as Clinical Commissioning Groups, Healthwatch and NHS England.
