With the Prime Minister pledging to "deal with" cheap alcohol being sold in supermarkets in England and Wales and the Government considering its response to the consultation on its Alcohol Strategy, this seminar focused on the future direction of alcohol policy.
It brought together policymakers with stakeholders from across the drinks sector, public health professionals, local authority and police representatives, charities and lawyers, it drew upon issues arising out of the legal challenges to Scottish Government proposals on minimum pricing, and the organisation and funding of public health services going forward.
