Publications
Shortly after every Westminster Media Forum seminar, a briefing document is produced. This is distributed to all delegates on the day as well as to our contacts in government, parliament and stakeholders in the education sector more widely.
A Forum publication provides a timely record of proceedings, and acts as a guide to the latest thinking on current policy issues for those unable to be at the event.
Each publication includes:
- All speeches from the day, with accompanying slides and speaker biographies
(subject to approval by speaker); - Transcripts of question and comment sessions;
- Supplementary articles from speakers and delegates; and
- Event information such as the delegate list and final agenda
Payment for content online 2011 - paywalls and new structures for digital business
TO BE PUBLISHED December 2010
As News International newspapers in the UK assess the effect of paywalls launched earlier this year, this seminar will take a latest look at the methods media organisations are employing to monetise their content online. Planned sessions will examine the emerging business models being used to attract, collect and protect revenue and look at what consumers are willing to pay for media. There will also be analysis of the success of paywalls and their impact on production and standards, as well as the prospects for subscription, 'freemium' and ad-supported delivery.
