This seminar offered an opportunity to examine issues over funding and delivery for schools that had already begun the Building Schools for the Future process, and the next steps for implementing the scheme in schools that had not yet started. Debate also addressed the future of Partnerships for Schools as the organisation prepares to take over the management and day-to-day delivery of the project. In addition the seminar focused on the Building Colleges for the Future scheme and concerns over its future funding and viability.
Tim Byles, Chief Executive, Partnerships for Schools; David Hughes, National Projects Director, Learning and Skills Council and Phil Willis MP, Chairman, Science and Technology Committee delivered keynote addresses at the seminar.
