Following on from the launch of the UK Cross-Government Strategy for Food Research and Innovation, this timely seminar examined the role of technology and innovation in underpinning the UK's food security, in the context of issues relating to the impact of climate change on food security and the need to improve sustainability in the food chain. Discussion also considered the status of research and development in food production in the UK, and looked forward to future practical and policy issues relating to the implementation of research findings within the sector.
