This seminar offered a timely opportunity to examine the use of information and communication technology (ICT) within Britain's schools, and to assess to what extent the promised benefits are being realised in terms of efficiency, pupil attainment and value for money.
The agenda also looked more widely at the educational impact of ICT in homes, at the record of policy to increase home access to technology and at the effect that it is having on reducing inequalities between learners.
