Taking place one year on from the publication of the Independent Cancer Taskforce’s five year plan, delegates considered progress and next steps for implementing recommendations from the report.
Sessions focused on priorities for meeting four-week diagnosis targets, the role of newly formed Cancer Alliances, and the impact of cancer vanguard sites on the commissioning and provision of services.
The conference was also an opportunity to discuss the future for accessing new treatments, following the reformation of the Cancer Drugs Fund in July 2016.
