Attendees at this seminar assessed the early impact of the devolved health and social care budget on primary care in Greater Manchester.
It brought together policymakers involved in the devolution programme with key stakeholders including primary healthcare professionals, health consumer organisations, local government, representatives of healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, academics, interested and affected charities and user groups, and representatives of the trade and national press.
Delegates considered next steps for increasing access to services, priorities for treating patients with long-term conditions, and the developing role of information technology to support integrated service delivery.
