Next steps for regional development: infrastructure, local devolution deals and the future for combined authorities

Morning, Thursday, 22nd June 2017

Sixty One Whitehall, London SW1A 2ET

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

This seminar will assess next steps for regional development and local devolution deals in England.

Delegates will consider the impact of Brexit on long term funding and investment for regional projects, as well as commitments to upgrade infrastructure, close local skills gaps and improve collaboration between universities and local businesses, as outlined in the Industrial Strategy.

As the first metro mayors begin their responsibilities, the conference will also be an opportunity to discuss the role of mayors in regional development and devolution, particularly in the context of the Northern Powerhouse, Midlands Engine and other deals across the country.
