Please note the date of this seminar has changed.

This seminar will be an opportunity to discuss next steps for pharmacy services in England.

As NHS England’s Next steps for the Five Year Forward View outlines plans for 1,300 more pharmacists to be working in general practice by 2019, delegates will consider future priorities for the profession - including the role of pharmacy in Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships.

The conference will look at recommendations from the Independent Review of Community Pharmacy Clinical Services, including proposals to redesign Medicine Use Reviews, effective use Summary Care Records as part of this process, and the impact of the review on future policy and contract reform.

Delegates will also assess the impact of the Pharmacy Integration Fund on joining up care - and challenges facing Essential Small Pharmacies in light of proposed efficiency savings, with a judgement on the recent judicial review on community pharmacy expected shortly.

Further planned sessions focus on practicalities for Clinical Commissioning Groups adopting their own locally commissioned minor ailment schemes by April 2018 and next steps for developing the pharmacy workforce.
