Priorities for improving payment systems and reimbursement in healthcare

Morning, Thursday, 3rd May 2018

Central London

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

This seminar provides a timely opportunity to discuss the role and development of different payment systems within the NHS.

As NHS England and NHS Improvement develop the basis of the next NHS Standard Contract and the tariff system for 2019/20, delegates will discuss key issues with the current tariff system and priorities for developing an effective NHS payment system.

Attendees will also consider the role of new payment approaches in fulfilling the Five Year Forward View’s commitment to person-centred and integrated care services, including local payment examples for delivering new care models and the inclusion of an Improvement Payment Scheme, gain / loss share agreement and an integrated budget within the Accountable Care Organisation Contract and development of Accountable Care Systems.

Further sessions will examine the future of Payment by Results (PbR) and the next steps for developing new and sustainable payment systems for the NHS.
