Next steps for maternity services in England: personalisation, patient safety and Local Maternity Systems

Delegates at this conference will discuss the next steps for maternity services in England, and  the impact of new models of maternity care.


They will also consider findings from the Maternity Transformation Programme Early Adopters, and the challenges for implementing plans in Safer maternity care: progress and next steps to improve the quality of investigations into term stillbirths, neonatal and maternal deaths, and serious brain injuries.


 Further sessions will focus on priorities for maternity safety and the role of NHS Improvement’s Maternity and Neonatal Health Safety Collaborative; athe developing role of Local Maternity Systems (LMS) in implementing Better Births; key issues for collaboration and workforce development following Brexit; indications from the Maternity Choice and Personalisation Pioneers; next steps for the supervision and regulation of maternity services and progress made towards the national ambition to reduce the rate of stillbirths by 50 per cent by 2025.
