Westminster Social Policy Forum

Next steps for funding regional projects and the future for Local Enterprise Partnerships

Morning, Thursday, 8th March 2018

Central London

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

This seminar will bring together policymakers and stakeholders to examine policy priorities for funding regional projects in England, as well as the future for Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).

With access to European Structural and Investment Funds ending as the UK withdraws from the EU, delegates will discuss options for assessing regional needs outside of the EU-based definitions beyond 2020.

They will also discuss priorities for ensuring future funding meets requirements to drive growth across the whole country as outlined in the Government’s Industrial Strategy, and opportunities for both domestic and international investment.

Further sessions consider key issues for LEPs, such as their involvement in sector deals, as well as the developing role of Combined Authorities and regional Metro Mayors.
