Transparency in the digital advertising market: measurement, accountability and trust

This seminar will consider the further action that can be taken by industry, policymakers and regulators to increase accountability, trust and transparency in the digital advertising market.


It takes place as the Government considers its response to the Lords Communication Committee’s report into the future of the industry, examining how policy and practices might help the sector maintain its international competiveness, in light of high profile cases of ad misplacement, and with the continuing consumer trend of ad blocking.


Delegates will discuss latest progress in the development of strategies to improve transparency - including looking at harmonised viewability standards, third-party measurement verification, access to objective and accountable data, and issues around agency contracts.


Sessions will also consider what more can be done to prevent ad fraud and secure brand safety as well as examine the role of regulation - including the effectiveness of the current regulatory framework and what further measures might be introduced.
