THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED
This seminar will provide a timely opportunity to discuss the next steps for health commissioning in England.
The conference takes place as NHS England looks to scale up its New Models of Care Programme to meet the Department of Health and Social Care’s target for half of England’s population to be covered by innovative models by 2020, and as the Sustainability and Transformation process continues with the roll out of integrated care systems - with the first wave gaining new financial flexibilities from April 2018 as well as using new tools for better understanding local health data.
Delegates will discuss the future role of Clinical Commissioning Groups and the purchaser-provider split, and steps being taken in line with the Five Year Forward View to broaden the scope of commissioning, including the development of primary care co-commissioning, and progress of the Integrated Personalised Commissioning (IPC) programme.
Further planned sessions will assess priorities for Commissioning Support Units in supporting Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs), next steps for specialised commissioning and key issues for social care commissioners in delivering integrated services - following NHS England’s recent announcement of a consultation into the contracting arrangements for Accountable Care Organisations.
