This seminar will assess further steps that can be taken to support growth in the UK tourism industry post-Brexit, and the sector’s place in the UK’s Industrial Strategy going forward.
Delegates will discuss key priorities for policy to encourage the development of visitor economies across the UK, and to provide opportunities in rural and coastal communities, including in regard to investment in infrastructure, access to funding and options for deregulation.
Further sessions will consider how the industry can more effectively utilise new ways of working, with a focus on collaboration, diversification of services, and product development, as well as innovative marketing strategies and the use of data analytics.
With the Tourism Industry Council recently launching the Tourism Sector Deal in anticipation of an Industrial Strategy white paper later this year, policymakers and stakeholders will also discuss issues around connectivity and visa reform, talent and skills, productivity and regulation as the UK withdraws from the EU.
